Machine Operative Our client is a market leading vegetable packing company based in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire. Due to increased workload they are looking for experienced Machine Operative to assist. Individuals must have worked in a similar environment and be able to display good skills. Ideally, the successful candidates will have their own transport due to location and shift starting times. Responsibility: * Ensure that the machines run at the optimum efficiency and meet agreed targets, reporting and recording faults and down time. * Ensure correct wineglass labels, films or nets are loaded as appropriate * Ensure your machine is kept clean and in good working order, completing any pre- start checks and paperwork as appropriate. * Ensure all information is correct by using the correct programs and checking the films, netting and wineglass labels to make sure everything is in spec. * Improving efficiency (i.e. minimise defective pack rates, minimise unscheduled downtime, minimise floor waste, etc.) * Deputize for the line leader in their absence * Responsible for supporting the delivery of daily, weekly and monthly KPI's including labour cost/ tonne and packs per minute Working Hours: 05:45-15:00 Sunday to Thursday Pay rate £8.35 per hour, Overtime after 40 hours £10.44 To apply for this role, please click on the 'Apply' button below.
