HRGO Client who are based in East Kent are looking for a Permanent Purchasing Manager to join their team.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional to join our Procurement team.

The Role

Managing your own category of products and services, you will use your knowledge, skills & experience to deliver results, as you build key relationships both internally throughout the business and with external partners.

You will be responsible for leading all aspects of sourcing, tendering, category management and supplier relationship management associated with a designated range of category suppliers. You will drive product and services in, at optimum cost, on time and to the required quality standard.

Key Responsibilities Include

Driving the strategy for indirect categories across the site

Working on day-to-day requests within a fast-paced environment

Managing supplier performance and strategy

Working with key stakeholders for SLA needs

Essential Qualities Include

CIPS Qualified

Strong Purchasing background. Experience of Procurement within a manufacturing environment

Buying experience, with a proven track record of cost savings and vendor performance improvement

Strong Vendor Management skills

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm and Friday 8am-1.30pm.

Salary: Circa £45,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

Working Environment: Whilst there will be some flexibility within the role, this position will be predominately based on site at our Whitstable facility.
