Laptop Administrator

Laptop/Tablet Management Ensure assests are fully charged and ready for use. Ensure assets are in good working order and can connect to the College wireless network. Regular checks of laptops and devices to identify any potential issues/hazards/problems. Ensure all devices are fully updated with latest software and operating system patches before handing out to staff. Identify problem laptops and assist in investigation and resolution of all incidents or problems that arise. Customer Service To present a professional image of the College's IT function to College staff and learners. Prompt and Timely Drop-off and Pick-up of Laptops / Tablets to the requested location at the date/time as indicated on the Service Request. Assist, when time allows, in getting users logged onto laptops and that instruct users in safe use. Provide replacement mobile assets if exsisting loaned equipment is reported as faulty. Knowledge management & Record Maintenance To assist the Service Desk Lead in identifying opportunities to enhance the Laptop/Tablet centralisation process. Regular checks to ensure Laptops / Tablets are up to date with the correct information on the IT Asset register. Log incidents with the Service desk where faulty assets are identified. Record and generate reports on asset usage on return of assets at the end of each session.
