A great opportunity for a Lab Technician to join a small team of technicians testing coatings and metal damage for European and Russian production operations for a global food packaging company.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be responsible for compiling and maintaining regulatory documentation, databases or systems. Undertaking administration of internal / external requests for testing and queries, with regards to food contact within a container. Focusing on the cause of damaged internal coatings, causing contact to metals or the outer packaging, in worst cases the failure to contain. Investigating and analysing causes of failures, including the assessment of manufacturing and product handling facilities of customers.

To be apply for this role we are looking for a relevant Degree level qualification, preferably within coatings and chemicals, relating to the food manufacturing, packaging or coatings industries. You will have experience in the food / liquid storage or packaging industry, with a full understanding of food Contact legislation. You will have 1-3 years of post-graduate experience in a similar role, as well as being a skilled analyst and administrator.
