Lab Technician

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Lab Technician, to join an existing busy team. Duties will be to manage all aspects of the day to day running of the laboratory.

£20,000-£25,000 (DOE)

Location - Saffron Walden

Working days - Monday to Friday

Working hours - 8am to 5pm

Start Date: Immediately

Job Type: Permanent

Duties and responsibilities:

• Production, management and continuous development of routine analysis and chemical analysis

• Managing and updating spreadsheets with analysis results

• Make-up of chemical standards, indicators and reagents for use in solution analysis

• Receipt and rotation of laboratory chemicals required for tank solution analysis

• Inventory and replacement order of laboratory supplies

• Chemical additions to plating baths based on mandated periodic solution analysis results

• Labelling of chemical shelf life data on chemical containers

• Ensure maintenance of plating tank and processing equipment, including timely performance of preventive Maintenance

• Maintain laboratory and associated equipment to the highest level.

Essential skills & experience:

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures

• Microsoft Office

• Titrimetric analysis

• Competent mathematics

• Excellent communication skill, both verbally and written

• Good team player

• Knowledge of basic chemistry, especially titrimetric analysis

• Competent mathematic skills
