Job Role: Learning Support Assistant (KS4)

Location - Sevenoaks, Kent

HRGO Education are in search of an experienced Learning Support Assistant (KS4) that can inspire secondary aged pupils with SEMH needs.

HRGO Education are recruiting for a progressive school based in Sevenoaks, Kent. They are seeking a Learning Support Assistant with an ability to inspire KS4 pupils with challenging behaviours. You will be supporting KS4 pupils in small groups or on a one to one basis, with their learning and how to manage their emotions and behaviour throughout the school day.

The Sevenoaks school was rated "Good" by Ofsted and are well resourced to support the additional needs of their young people. The school provides a free lunch for all staff and parking on site. You can easily commute to the school in Sevenoaks from the local areas of Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Edenbridge and Westerham.

The Learning Support Assistant (KS4) role:

• Supporting KS4 teachers with their learning objectives and classroom management
• Working 1:1 and with small groups of KS4 pupils in the classroom and pastorally
• Being a positive role model and establishing positive relationships with pupils and helping to develop their social skills.
• Working well with other members of school staff to provide a stimulating learning environment.

What you will need:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours.
• A desire to learn new SEMH teaching strategies and skills to best support students.
• Be able to comfortably work in small groups and 1:1 with pupils.
• Organised, reliable, friendly, hard-working and resilient with a good sense of humour.
• Enhanced DBS or one in progress.
