An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Contracts Manager for an amazing company based in Shepton Mallet

My client who are award winning experts in the conservation, repair and renovation of historic and ecclesiastical buildings across Somerset and the South West are looking to recruit a new member of the operations team.

This is a critical role to support the other Directors and management team. We are looking for someone with drive and enthusiastic, who has a basic understanding of construction and is looking to progress as a contracts manager. There will also be opportunity to gain qualifications , if relevant to the role

Working Monday to Friday 7 am to 4.30, this great position offers a salary of between £28k to £32k, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and use of the company Van .

This will be a very busy role, so you must be able to multi task, have great communication skills, be very organised, excellent grammar and excellent people skills. Being a team player is key and being able to remain calm under stressful conditions is a must

Duties include:

Support Contract Managers on their Larger jobs including

Drafting Programmes & Health & Safety Paperwork

Implementing adjustments to Labour on sites

Trouble shooting including Collecting / dropping off deliveries and materials if needed

Sorting the MOTS and servicing for the work vans

Sorting out breakdowns and replacement vehicles
