HRGO are delighted to be recruiting for this well-established and very successful medium sized freight forwarder. Providing Global logistics services by means of Road, Rail, Ocean and Airfreight, an opportunity has arisen for a new team member to be based at their Dover Office in the Road Freight Department. Your role will be to process and manage a range of European and UK road freight shipments, negotiating rates with carriers, placing bookings and to accurately raise shipping documentation as required. Main responsibilities will include: Manage the road freight booking process with customers and suppliers. Obtain and process pricing enquiries for all road freight modes of transport. Operate internal operations system, on-line booking and sales platforms, customs documentation. Manage sales and cost reconciliation on a shipment by shipment basis via our internal system. Raise accurate operational documentation as required, including ATR 1 & EUR 1 forms where required. In order to apply for the position, you will need to have the following: A knowledge of processing road freight, ideally in a freight forwarding company with some customs documentation experience / knowledge for Non-EU countries. Excellent relationship building skills with both customers and suppliers to maximise all opportunities The ability to prioritise, organise & manage time efficiently is essential within a busy operations team. Attention to detail for the production of shipping documents. Previous knowledge of Cargowise operating systems would be an advantage, but not essential.
