Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00 (There is also a week on call 1 in every 6 weeks and this includes a Saturday morning)
Salary: £27,000 - £29,999 per annum (Overtime rates apply to call outs)
We our assisting our Dover based client in their search for 2 x Import/Export Clerks to join their team. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and process import/export documentation in compliance with customs regulations
Coordinate with customs officials, shipping companies, and other relevant parties to ensure timely clearance of goods
Classify goods according to tariff codes and maintain accurate records of shipments
Handle customs duties, taxes, and fees associated with imports and exports
Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience working in import/export operations, preferably in a customs environment
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
