Job Title: Import/Export Clerk - Customs

Job Type: Full time/permanent

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00 (There is also a week on call 1 in every 6 weeks and this includes a Saturday morning)

Salary: £27,000 - £29,999 per annum (Overtime rates apply to call outs)

We our assisting our Dover based client in their search for 2 x Import/Export Clerks to join their team. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process import/export documentation in compliance with customs regulations
• Coordinate with customs officials, shipping companies, and other relevant parties to ensure timely clearance of goods
• Classify goods according to tariff codes and maintain accurate records of shipments
• Handle customs duties, taxes, and fees associated with imports and exports
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
• Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience working in import/export operations, preferably in a customs environment
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
