Hr Administrator - Home Based

35 hours a week

Job purpose: To respond to the day-to-day queries received by HR, carry out end-to-end recruitment administration, support the monthly payroll, and provide support to the Learning and Development and Volunteering teams.

  • To use THT's e-recruitment system to process recruitment requests, place job adverts, liaise with candidates and recruitment managers across the charity to enable a seamless recruitment and selection process including reference checks. To also include arranging interviews and facilitating tasks, supporting recruiting managers with difficult to fill posts, including researching different strategies to identify suitable candidates;

  • To implement agreed system developments and enhancements on the e-recruitment system, liaising with the HR Business Partners, Director of People & Corporate Services and the system provider as appropriate and support the use of the system for volunteer recruitment;

  • To coordinate the on boarding processes for new starters, ensuring details of all new starters are gathered and that all information is passed to Payroll for processing. To be the first point of contact for new starters, including inviting staff to mandatory training and ensuring a smooth introduction to the charity;

  • To produce appropriate contracts and letters relating to joiners, role changes, maternity cases and leavers as directed by the HR Business Partners

  • To support the Payroll Supervisor with the monthly payroll as necessary but no responsibility for managing payroll system itself;

  • To provide HR support and advice, under the direction of the HR Business Partners, including helping managers understand and implement organisational policies;

  • To administer the Staff Forum, including circulating papers and agendas, supporting recruitment, and arranging training

  • To support the charity's DBS system

  • To process any occupational health referrals to the third party provider

  • To carry out routine administration tasks including hard copy and e-filing, updating organisational charts, inputting into department metrics monthly

  • To work with the Learning and Development Advisor to arrange training, input training data and support the planning of future training;

  • To manage the HR inbox and incoming calls, answering and/or distributing emails/calls to the HR team as appropriate in a friendly, professional and responsive manner.
