HR Go Education are currently looking for a fixed-term, Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a fantastic secondary school based in Ashford!

The successful candidate will be a part of a brilliant Learning Support team - working closely with individuals and group of students that find some difficulty in accessing the curriculum. The candidate will be assisting the pupils' during KS3 English Lessons.

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to be able to progress students with their learning as well as supporting them with their social, emotional and physical well-being. For this position, the candidate will be expected to have the necessary qualifications in Maths/Numeracy or English/Literacy equivalent to NVQ Level 2.

The role will require the candidate to plan, prepare and team teach with the main class teacher. As well, the role will also expect the candidate to successfully deliver interventions to certain students whether that be preparing students for the English material or post lesson.

You will have the opportunity of working in a well-facilitated school with a large network of supportive staff. Team values are highly focused on within the school between students and staff - you will always be supported in ensuring the very best approach is accessed in your Higher-Level Teaching Assistant position.

Requirement for the Role:

• Be available Monday to Friday (8:30 - 3:30) - 32.5 hrs a week.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS (can be applied for through HRGO).
• Desirable to hold a Level 2 qualification as a Teaching Assistant.
• Have an excellent knowledge of the English curriculum - with great written and verbal skills.
• Hold the necessary qualifications in Maths/Numeracy and English/Literacy equivalent to NVQ Level 2.
• Experience in a similar position with evidence to support this.
• Understanding the individual needs of the students - experience 1:1 or within intervention groups.
