HR GO are looking to recruit several Helpline Advisors for an exciting opportunity to work on a national helpline, providing specialist advice and support to employers so that they can effectively engage in apprenticeships. This role is to start on Thursday, 22nd April.

Successful candidates will help employers and training providers engage in a positive relationship to provide suitable apprenticeship vacancies.

In order to provide personalised advice, responsibilities will include tailoring information to customers and their situations, monitoring developments relating to apprenticeships and raising awareness of support options available to small businesses and training providers.

Extensive training will be provided at their Offices based in Newcastle to ensure you are in a position to develop plans, interventions, initiatives and delivery models which encourage demand for apprenticeships from employers in line with the Government's ambitions and priorities for the apprenticeship programme.

  • Work within defined quality guidelines and maintain god practices at all times

  • Access and research information sought by callers quickly and accurately

  • Accurately collate and record call information for use in management information reports

  • Develop and maintain an interest in related topical issues and those likely to affect contacts

  • Deliver specialist subject material as appropriate

  • Assess caller needs either directly or as a referral and either meet these needs or refer to another agency or to a specialist

  • Undertake administrative and other tasks as required relevant to working environment

You must also possess excellent communications skills and be able to navigate around a wide range of commercial software packages.

Knowledge of areas including training and employment advice would be beneficial.

The hours of work are between 8.00am and 6.00pm, based on a 37.5 hour week and pays £8.91 an hour.

You will also be subject to a Basic DBS and also undergo an online Assessment.
