We are working with a Primary School in Southend who are looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to start in a full-time position from September 2022. This is contract for 1 year and would be ideal for a candidate who is looking to gain more experience before starting teacher training or a PGCE. This role would be supporting children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and may also include various support of SEN children.
By becoming a graduate teaching assistant, you can get the experience you require to become a teacher in the future and add more skills and relevant experience to your CV. We can offer you experience in the classroom in both a 1:1 and whole class capacity, providing specific intervention support to children with a variety of needs, whilst also giving you access to develop your knowledge and experience within Education.

About you
Pay & Working Hours
Graduate teaching assistants are typically paid between £9.50 and £11.50 per hour via PAYE. Income figures are intended as a guide only.
Full-time Teaching Assistants usually work between 32 & 35 hours per week. Starting the school day at 8.30am and finishing at 3.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break. There are also part-time, casual and job share options available.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, but it may become permanent at a later date upon school discretion.
