HR GO is currently looking for a General Assistant/Yard Operative for our client who is a specialist construction contractor in Bridgwater. Within this role you will undertake general yard duties and maintenance as required. Reporting to the Depot Foreman, duties will include loading and unloading vehicles, the maintenance of equipment, checking orders and stock control.
This is a great opportunity to join an established depot and to offer excellent customer service and support to our clients within the construction industry.
Our ideal candidate will be committed and hard-working, with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the construction industry would be beneficial, however a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well within a team is important in this role. This is a varied role, based outdoors.
A full UK driver's licence is an essential requirement, and a Fork Lift Truck license would be beneficial.
Skills & experience required:
Knowledge of the construction industry advantageous
Working knowledge of construction/civil engineering industry advantageous
Customer service experience advantageous
Ability to complete records, paperwork accurately is essential, basic computer literacy and working knowledge of PDA devices, iPads, tablet or similar
A reasonable level of fitness is required with the ability to undertake manual handling duties
To be flexible, trustworthy and reliable and have excellent time keeping skills is essential
