Food Production Line Leaders

Location: Margate

Contract: Temp to Perm

Shifts: Afternoons & Night Shift available

Salary: £12.21 per hour, enhanced rate for the night shift

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Line Leader to join our clients well established and successful food production team. The Line Leader will be responsible for overseeing the production line, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in leadership roles within a manufacturing setting, with a strong understanding of basic HACCP and H&S practices.

Afternoon Shift Times ~ Monday - Wednesday - 15:00 - 01:00, Thursday 14:30 - 00:00 or

Monday - Wednesday - 13:00 - 23:00, Thursday - 13:00 - 22:30

Night Shift ~ Sunday - Tuesday - 19:00 - 05:00, Wednesday - 19:30 - 05:00

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate activities on the production line to ensure smooth operations

- Monitor production processes to maintain quality standards of final products

- Implement and enforce HACCP and health & safety practices to ensure a safe working environment

- Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and performance

- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve any issues or non-conformities

- Collaborate with other departments to optimise production processes and meet production targets

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in leadership roles in a manufacturing setting

- Strong knowledge of basic HACCP and health & safety practices

- Experience in quality control of final products produced

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to coach, mentor, and direct team members effectively

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
