My Client specialise in high quality manufacturing. They pride them selves on being able to deliver to their customers, from design concept through to installation.
Due to their planned growth within new sectors, we are seeking an experienced candidate to join our team as a Fabrication Workshop Manger.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of their Carbon and stainless-steel workshops ensuring that the team are working in the most efficient way.
It is the FWM responsibility to ensure that the workshops are organised and maintained to safe and efficient standard.
Effective teamwork is crucial to the role and will involve working closely with production planning to ensure that all work activities are delegated in the best possible way. The candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of people management as the role will require skills such as-
Managing a team of up to 25 people
Developing of individuals
Personal development reviews (PDRs)
Monitoring of timekeeping
Giving positive and effective negative feedback
Managing any conflicting situations
Key skill requirements:
A minimum of 5 years within a similar role
Minimum of 10 years' experience within the Engineering industry
Full clean driving licence
Good knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office
Experience of continuous improvement and workplace organisation such as 5S would be preferred.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing would be preferred
Overview:
The Fabrication Workshop Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Fabrication team works as efficiently as possible to achieve the work targets set out by production planning.
The role also requires that all work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the companies Health and Safety Policy.
The Fabrication Workshop Manager should promote continuous improvement throughout the team to improve and maintain the working environment and morale of the workers.

£43000 Salary 7.00am-4.30pm (lunch 30mins)
