Event Operations Manager
Salary £35k - 6-month contract

My client is a leading global events' organizer dedicated to delivering exceptional events. Appointed to organize many globally renowned events on behalf of their clients, including a large-scale Conference. It is the largest global Energy Conference & Exhibition.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting in fulfilling sponsorship contracts for the event to ensure expectations are exceeded
- Take full responsibility for managing and ordering sponsorship deliverables: branded items, signage etc.
- Conduct research, cost comparison, appointment, and management of multiple suppliers to ensure efficient cost savings where possible
- Coordinate with other organisers to ensure the sponsors overall experience runs smoothly for registration.
- Actively participate in project team meetings
- Assist the Project Manager with briefing and training onsite temporary staff
- Oversee management and liaison with Sponsor contacts to ensure a fantastic experience
- Assist the Project Manager with logistics relating to Sponsors
- Assist in managing and training the event teams onsite, giving clear instructions and team briefings
- Co-ordinate sponsored functions
- Ensure all supplies are in perfect working order, e.g., AV, catering etc
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth running between different areas of the event
- Take part in regular meetings with Project Manager and conference stakeholders to ensure daily feedback is actioned
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' active experience in event management
- Strong knowledge of the Conference & Exhibition industry, with specific experience managing sponsorship deliverables
- Experience of managing client relationships at a senior level
