HR GO are looking for a Driving Consultant / Fleet Manager in Ashford, Kent, you will be responsible for ensuring that new colleagues joining KCHFT team have the knowledge, skill and confidence to drive around the county and its surrounding areas in the course of their work. You will work closely with the Trusts procurement team to assist them in the management of the relationship with the lease car suppliers and ensure colleagues needing to access a vehicle are allocated one in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions.
As Fleet Manager you will deal directly with fleet providers when necessary and provide feedback on any performance related issues to the procurement team to support them when negotiating, agreeing and reviewing contractual terms.
Responsibilities in this role include:
supporting our internationally educated nurses (IEN's) in the first six months of employment with accessing a vehicle, gaining confidence in driving and understanding the legal obligations that they have when driving in the UK.
You will also help them to learn the highway code and provide support to them to prepare for the UK theory and practical driving tests and assist them with their applications for a UK driving licence.
Managing the fleet will require you to set up and maintain a database to store necessary information for the monitoring of the vehicles and who have been allocated which cars.
You'll be responsible for drawing up a draft agreement for the nurses to sign and monitor the adherence to the terms set out in the agreement.
You will work closely with the international recruitment (IR) team and the Pastoral Support team to ensure that every colleague has access to driving support and will attend the International Steering group meetings which act as the governance group for International Recruitment, providing updates to the group as required in relation to the support being provided and making any recommendations for improvements where identified.
You must have the following to be eligible to apply:
Bachelor's degree (BA (BSc) NVQ level 6,
Ordinary degree or equivalent experience
Level 5 or above Driving Instructor qualification
Registered with DSA Car Approved Driving
Instructors (ADI)
Clean UK driving licence with categories B,
B+E, C1+E, C, D1, D1+E
