The candidate Run and maintain the yard operations, recording detail of deliveries, stock issuing to gangs and distribution and filling of vehicles. Ensure the yard is organised, safe and secure when unattended. The Organisation My client is a well-established Civil Engineering Company who have experience considerable growth throughout the last two years. They operate across the United Kingdom delivering market leading solutions for a portfolio of highly recognisable clients. Overview of role * Yard patrols & security - check perimeter fencing and gates and ensure yard is locked at all times when unattended * Call appropriate emergency services in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorised persons * Know the locations of fire alarm systems, shut-off valves, telephones and power/water meters * Report verbally and in writing all violation of regulations you have been asked to enforce * Record observations or incidents that occur in the depot * Reporting hierarchy in the event of an incident * Responsible for the distribution and filling vehicles of fuel and associated record keeping * Responsible for issuing materials and plant to crews, recording all materials that leave the yard * Check incoming materials. Equipment and supplies against delivery notes * Responsible for the supervision, loading, and offloading of trucks and lorries * Operates forklift/loading equipment to load and unload; salvages reusable scrap materials * Responsible for yard organisation, maintenance and cleanliness * Effective handover of the day operations to overnight security and vice versa to ensure smooth transition of operations Hours Full time- Mon- Friday (felixible times) with the alterante Saturdays Salary up to 24.000 k Please note that the right candidate is expected to have a telehandler/forklift qualification.
