Hrgo are seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk for our Client in the Dover area. Good analytical and excellent organisational skills are essential, and you must work in a methodical manner and be able to respond effectively to enquiries. Road Freight Customs experience is essential.
Duties include:
Calculating Duty / VAT cost for each consignment
Processing Import/Export declarations
Dealing with general enquiries from importers / exporters concerning all areas, relating to Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates and any other documentation requirements
Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures
Benefits include
Holidays - 22 days plus 8 Bank Holidays (30 days) in the first year, rising by 1 day each year up to a maximum of 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays (33 days)
Pension - 3% contribution
Death in service benefit 3 x salary (eligible once probation period is completed)
Performance bonus (eligible once probation is completed)
