Customer Service Assistant Temp-Perm

    • Job Title: Customer Service Assistant
    • Location: Shepton Mallet - Evercreech
    • Pay: £9.86 per hour
    • Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (unpaid lunch)
    • Start: ASAP

    HR GO Recruitment are looking for a Customer Service Agent Working as part of a team in the transport office, this job is focused on dealing with enquiries and complaints from our customers and involves liaising with the warehouse, our European partners, and our third-party contractors.

    Responsibilities:

    • Answering enquiries and complaints via telephone or email - accurately and promptly.
    • Using our specialist transport management system; training will be provided.
    • Working with the booking team to find all required information to secure delivery slots - communicating any problems or changes to our customers.
    • Updating the warehouse on daily incoming goods and checking off received deliveries on online portals and using our reporting system.
    • Working with the planning team to track and trace deliveries and arrange collections where required.
    • Directing any incoming enquiries which we cannot assist with to the appropriate contact.

    Requirements:

    • Excellent written and verbal skills - we regularly communicate with our European partners and a diverse customer base so clarity and patience in all correspondence is key.
    • Confident computer user - to be able to navigate shared document filing, Microsoft 365 for emails, internet browsers and the Microsoft Office package (mainly Word and Excel)
    • Methodical and organised approach - an ability to prioritise is a must as well as attention to detail.
    • Time management - punctuality and ability to resolve issues within a time frame.
    • Flexibility - we work to support other areas in the office when required. This may mean assisting the growing customs team, making delivery bookings, or managing incoming phone calls whilst our receptionist is unavailable.

    To Note:

    • Must be reliable and Hardworking
    • May sometimes be asked to do the occasional weekend working as overtime when busy.
    • Previous experience using a transport/warehouse management system or admin/receptionist experience would be beneficial but not essential.
