HR GO (Ramsgate) are delighted to be working with a well-established company based in Rochester. Our client is looking for a confident and capable credit controller to join their Accounts Department on a permanent. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and would have dealt with invoicing, refunds and credit control.

Due to the location, you would be required to have your own transport.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Contributing to the smooth running of the Accounts Department.

• Using Sage 200 & Credit Hound software

• Raise sales ledger invoices/credits in a timely manner

• Credit checks to maintain customer credit limits and minimise bad debt risk

• Produce customer statements and process remittance advices

• Working experience of CIS scheme - payment applications / retentions (desirable)

• Answer telephone calls and direct calls accordingly in a professional manner

• Processing of sales invoices

• Responsible for all Credit Control

• Dealing with invoice queries and discrepancies and liaising with colleagues regarding any accounts discrepancies

Key Skills and Experience

• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential

• A working knowledge of SAGE 200

• Attention to detail

• Ability to interpret and apply company policy

• Knowledge of engineering/generator industry would be desirable

• Ability to work on own initiative and work well within a team environment.

• Genuine team player with can do attitude

• Confident, articulate and adept in obtaining / challenging information

The successful applicant would be joining a very friendly team working 8.30am to 5.30pm full time, 28 days annual leave entitlement per annum including all bank holidays. Company contributory Pension scheme. Pay is negotiable depending upon experience. Free on-site parking.
