CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER An exciting opportunity has arisen for a continuous improvement engineer to join one of our leading industry clients. Job purpose Reporting to the operations manager, the post-holder will be responsible for the implementation and adoption of lean manufacturing techniques to create an efficient and effective production facility. Liaising with the companies production engineering and manufacturing teams ensuring the successful transition for new and existing products ensuring that projects are achieved on time, to quality and to budget. Roles and responsibilities * Comfortable at working with all levels within the organisation * Responsible for managing and leading continuous improvement projects * Apply lean manufacturing and six sigma tools and methodology in the manufacturing excellence initiatives * Identify and manage a portfolio of lean projects directed a reducing waste * Implement a formal six sigma programme that focuses on reducing processes and product variation * Drive the standardisation of processes and the implementation of metrics and best practices Qualifications required * Ideally degree educated, or in a recognised accredited engineering apprenticeship discipline * Ideally Six Sigma black belt and strong lean manufacturing experience If you believe you are suitable for this role, then please apply
