Business Analyst - Energy

Due to growth with this leading team, we are supporting my client a new role for a Business Analyst with the Battery and Energy department.

This role will contribute to the development and implementation of key objectives by exploring and analysing opportunities as they arise, building business cases, generating material used in investment committee application, collaboration within the team in the UK, Japan, and Europe.

The team are expanding its business in energy management business space, developing key projects which needs speciality know-how in the energy market, with capability and experience in business development and due diligence.

Overview/Skills/Experience - Business Analyst - Battery & Energy systems UK & Europe

Japanese language would be advantageous for this role, however not essential.

Min 3 year post graduate experience with University degree or higher (technical discipline associated with energy management/preferably engineering or mathematics.)

Support team to develop new business including gathering information, investment sourcing, deal making (setting marketing and strategy, meeting and negotiating with advisor, seller, partner and deal execution.

Liaise and support more general business development.

Preparation of internal application material, including business plan so that management can make a suitable decision on strategy and investment.

Contribute to the monitoring and performance assessment of "live" investments.

Good understanding of UK energy markets.

Interaction with market system or specific trading/pricing tools (preferred).

European travel

Wider perspective of UK and/or European energy industry and an interest in the energy transition.

PREVIOUS experience in the UK energy industry/sector, in particular involvement in energy retail, energy trading, energy management consultancy.
