Our client a successful Building Restoration company based in Central Somerset are currently advertising for an experienced Estimator with a proven track record in winning business.

They are looking for qualified candidates that either live within their operational area, or outside their area and who would be prepared to work from home for up to 4 days per week, with only one day per week being spent in their Shepton Mallet Office.

The successful candidate would report directly to the Managing Director undertaking the following tasks:

• Price and prepare tenders from Small Works to £5m.

• Price our directly employed trades from first principles.

• Send enquiries to subcontractors and make detailed comparisons of prices received.

• Provide all the deliverables for a tender (if required) - programmes, method statements, etc.

• Track tenders from submission to contract award.

• Detailed handover of estimates to contract team.

The Package

• £60,000 annual salary

• Company Car or Car allowance £5,000

• Performance related bonus.

• 40 hours per week.

• 25 holidays plus bank holidays.

Requirements

• 10 years' experience in the building industry.

• 5 years' experience as an Estimator.

• Good track record of winning work.

• Knowledge of Conservation and Restoration.

• Knowledge of Roofing, Joinery and Stone Masonry and experience pricing at least one of these trades.

• Experience in Quantity Surveying.
