HRGO Education are working with a fantastic secondary school situated in Ipswich that are currently recruiting for an attendance officer. The working hours will be 32 - 37hrs per week.

The Role

To provide a specialist service to assist the school in meeting their obligations and targets in relation to school attendance, especially persistent absence. To promote positive attitudes by students and families towards education and to ensure that parents are made fully aware of their statutory responsibilities.

Your job role will include:

• Working with children and Parents
• Monitoring attendance reports
• Working with external agencies, E.g Youth offending teams, Community safety Team or Youth Support services.
• Working towards maximising attendance in the academy

You will need to demonstrate a good standard of general education, and you will need Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
