HR Go are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable individual for a fantastic opportunity in a specialist, residential school based in Swanley!

Have you got experience in the primary education sector and looking for a new challenge with more responsibilities and leadership opportunities? If yes, then you may be the ideal candidate that we are looking for to become a full-time, cover Assistant Principal starting mid-June!

The qualities of a fantastic Assistant Principal would be someone who is aspirational with experience in a leadership role or with carrying out leadership duties. Also, someone with a positive approach to behaviour management and a confident presence in the classroom. The ideal candidate will also understand various SEND needs and the implications it may have on the educational lives of students, ages ranging from 8 to 19 years old, whilst ensuring that the curriculum is vibrant and engaging for all pupils.

You will have the opportunity of working alongside a forward-thinking leadership team; mentoring colleagues by helping to improve their professional development in a school that is student-focused and passionate about their core values. The school, judged as 'good', has a strong belief in self-responsibility and strives to make the transition into adulthood a comfortable experience for its pupils!

This role is maternity cover and will require the candidate to cover from mid-June until necassary.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proof of outstanding experience as a teacher/leadership role within a school.
  • An advantage if you have post 16 experience in a specialist setting.
  • Experience of working alongside children with SEND.
  • Have excellent organisational skills and leadership skills.
  • Experience of motivating and managing staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and creating solutions for difficult situations.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS.
  • Be able to start the cover role mid-June.
