Administration Assistant - Flexible hours

  • Job Title: Administration Assistant
  • Location: Horsham
  • Hourly Rate: £13.02 p/h
  • Job Type: Contract - Minimum 5 months
  • Work hours: 37 hours per week (flexible with hours)

HRGO Recruitment are seeking a highly organised and detail-orientated Admin Assistant to join the Recycling and Waste department for a Local Authority. As an Administrator you will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, accurate records are maintained, and excellent customer service is delivered.

General Duties:

  • Support and respond to enquiries from residents within district boundaries
  • Manage relevant inboxes and act as first point of contact
  • Escalate cases where necessary
  • Administer projects or annual renewals
  • Provide effective communication with relevant departments
  • Provide account support to customers to ensure customer retention
  • Administer applications from the public
  • Assist with purchase orders
  • Process refunds or payments when required
  • Assist the department with stock control
  • Ensure legal documents are prepared and processed timely manner

Skills and Requirements

  • Ability to provide high levels of customer service
  • Able to work with a range of databases as well as data entry and processing standard admin tasks
  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
  • Competent IT user (including Microsoft products)
