Working at Ashford Inland Border Control

A new inland Border Control facility is shortly due to open on the Sevington Site, Ashford, near to J10A of the M20. The facility will provide the customs and transit checks required for hauliers following Brexit, and is vital to avoid considerable traffic disruption to road networks and communities across the South East.

Teams at the Border Control Post will carry out various port health controls to safeguard public health including checks on imports of products of animal origin (POAO), high-risk food not of animal origin (HRFNAO) and animal by-products imported from the EU.
