In this role you will be the main point of contact for suppliers based in the UK / Europe and Asia. You will ensure that lines of communication are clear and open between suppliers, manufacturing and customer co-ordinators, ensuring that goods are received on time for the production lines to run.

You will be managing several supplier accounts, you will review and send purchase schedules to the suppliers, arranging transport for goods to be collected, reviewing shipments from suppliers that come by air, sea prioritising as necessary.

You will be responsible for chasing of suppliers, to ensure that arrears and back orders are reduced. Managing inventory levels to agreed quantity or cost is a must.

Our client uses AS400 and SAP so experience of using this is a must. If you have experience of lean manufacturing or material movement this is also advantageous.
