Workforce Supervisor - Waste & Recycling

💰 £33,528 per annum (£17.42 per hour)
⏰ 37 hours per week (rota between 05:00-20:00, 7 days)
We are seeking an experienced Workforce Supervisor with proven Waste & Recycling sector experience to lead frontline operational teams delivering essential community services.
This is a hands-on role where you will ensure safe, efficient operations and high service standards across a 7-day service.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in the Waste & Recycling or Environmental Services sector
- Supervisory experience within frontline/manual operations
- Strong knowledge of health & safety procedures
- Clean driving licence (essential)
- Confident managing staff performance, sickness, holidays and timesheets
- Comfortable using CRM or mapping systems
- Knowledge of HGV / 7.5t vehicles (desirable)
- Train-the-Trainer (manual handling/lifting machinery) - desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate Waste & Recycling operations
- Allocate workloads and resources effectively
- Ensure health & safety compliance
- Manage staff performance and attendance
- Respond to customer enquiries and complaints
- Conduct inspections and prepare service reports
- Participate in emergency and call-out duties
