Job Title: Wet Works Engineer (Commercial Heating Systems)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wet Works Engineer to join our commercial heating and building services team. This role involves the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of hydronic (water-based) heating systems across a variety of commercial and industrial projects.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial HVAC or mechanical building services, with hands-on expertise in wet heating systems, including boilers, heat pumps, underfloor heating, and associated plant room equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, install, and commission water-based heating systems (boilers, pumps, radiators, fan coil units, underfloor heating).
Carry out system calculations for flow rates, pipe sizing, and heat loads.
Maintain and service existing hydronic heating systems to ensure optimal performance.
Select and specify appropriate equipment and controls for system performance and energy efficiency.
Work closely with project managers, site teams, and Building Management System (BMS) engineers to ensure seamless integration.
Diagnose and resolve system issues such as airlocks, flow imbalance, and temperature inconsistencies.
Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in commercial heating or mechanical building services.
Strong understanding of wet (hydronic) heating systems and components.
Competence in system design, fault finding, and commissioning.
Relevant plumbing or mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
CSCS / JIB card or equivalent certification.
Full UK driving licence.
