Job Title: Welder

£14.58 per hour depending on experience | Monday-Thursday | 06:00-16:30 | Weekly Pay | Temp-to-Perm

This is a great opportunity to join an established engineering operation where you'll be working with heavy-gauge steel and MIG welding as a key part of your role.

The Monday-to-Thursday shift pattern also gives you a three-day weekend every week, making this an attractive opportunity for someone looking for a better work-life balance without moving away from skilled engineering work.

Some manual handling and associated workshop duties are naturally part of the role, but the focus is on MIG welding, fabrication preparation and producing quality components.

Are you an experienced MIG Welder looking for a great Monday-to-Thursday opportunity?

We are looking for MIG Welders to join an established engineering and manufacturing business in Doncaster, producing robust, high-quality components for customers across the globe.

This is a hands-on welding role working with heavy-gauge steel, where the quality of your welding and attention to detail really matter.

If you're confident with MIG welding, enjoy working with steel and take pride in producing a quality finished product, we'd like to hear from you.

As a MIG Welder, you'll be involved in the manufacture of heavy-gauge steel components, including:

  • MIG welding heavy-gauge steel components.
  • Preparing surfaces and components ready for welding.
  • Producing consistent, good-quality welds.
  • Grinding, fettling and deburring welds where required.
  • Cleaning and preparing components to the required standard.
  • Carrying out visual inspections and quality checks on your work.
  • Using welding equipment, grinders and other handheld workshop tools.
  • Following work instructions and quality requirements.
  • Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
  • Working as part of a production team to achieve daily quality and output targets.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous MIG welding experience, ideally working with heavy-gauge steel.
  • Takes pride in the quality of their welding and finished work.
  • Has experience in an engineering, fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Can follow work instructions and quality standards.
  • Is confident using welding equipment and associated workshop tools.
  • Has good attention to detail.
  • Works well as part of a team but can also get on with the job independently.
  • Has a reliable and positive approach to work.

Previous experience of grinding, fettling and preparing welded components would be an advantage.

  • Immediate Start: Start earning right away
  • Weekly Pay: Get paid every Friday
  • Free On-Site Parking: Safe and secure
