What will you be doing? You will be an expert developer looking to further your skills. We're working with a fantastic client who has complex and technically challenging projects. We're looking for someone with a passion for everything JS and who thrives in an environment where they need to maintain high quality code across large and intricate codebases. You will be joining an established team to help maintain our suite of JS applications and to significantly contribute to new greenfield projects. You will have a chance to be involved in the process and development from the beginning through to maintenance. Some of the projects you can expect to work on; * Internal finance tools to help the business be more efficient * Customer facing React Native application * Website with various React apps to serve users complex forms or Power BI reports Essential Skills * A good all round ability with JS for front-end application. You should feel comfortable manipulating, animating, transforming and moving elements with JS. Some experience of consuming APIs is helpful. * Working knowledge of Node JS & a javascript framework ie React, Angular * Solid understanding of CSS - ie Bootstrap, SCSS, CSS in JS, BEM, OOCSS * Good understanding of the JS Ecosystem - NPM, Yarn, Gulp, Webpack etc. * A basic understanding of git * A basic understanding of shell * Consistently write production-ready code that is easily testable and understood by other developers, and accounts for edge cases and errors * Able to review tasks critically and ensure they're appropriately sized for continuous integration and incremental delivery. Desirable Skills * Experience with a cloud hosting provider - AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc. * Some C# experience would be preferable ie Umbraco CMS * Experienced in microservice architecture * Unit testing experience in JS - Mocha, Chai etc. * Experience with React Native * Able to take part in code reviews for other developers * Able to contribute to continuous improvements in the team resulting in greater efficiency, quality, and productivity * Experience using Jira to manage work * Ability to estimate development work of a project with accuracy of estimates being tracked as a KPI * Good team player and able to work on own initiative * Strong organisation, accuracy and attention to detail In return, you'll get... * R&D time every month * A fun and supportive working environment * Your own Macbook Pro * Flexible working hours * A chance to be part of one of the finest team of developers around
