Warehouse Supervisor

45 hours a week (Rotating shifts including weekends)

6-3, 12-9 and whilst training either 8-5 or 9-6.

Its one weekend on, one off and hours are dependant on volumes on weekends

The salary is £30k to stat rising to £36k after 3 months..

Ideally we are looking for a good operator who has worked their way up and can cope with a fast moving environment..

Description:

We are looking for a reliable warehouse supervisor that will undertake a variety of day-to-day tasks to ensure that the warehouse and transport departments have adequate support to work efficiently in a FMCG warehouse. The tasks of the warehouse supervisor will be diverse, ranging from daily warehouse operations to monitoring team performance and maintaining high level standards of company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be highly competent in prioritizing work with accurate attention to detail, while having the ability to work under pressure and able to give clear precise instructions to team members. They will be self-motivated and amenable to change throughout their role dependant on customer requirements. The warehouse supervisor will form part of the management team and will be required to regularly challenge themselves and be heavily involved in the implementation of new ideas and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee all warehouse operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies

• Manage a team of subordinates and provide support where necessary

• Provide communication links between departments to ensure tasks are completed

• Ensure staff are trained to an acceptable level

• Routine inspections within the warehouse to ensure all documentation is being completed as required

• Take an active role in the management team and provide constructive feedback from the warehouse teams

Requirements:

• Proven experience within a FMGC warehouse in a supervisory role or similar

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

• Comprehensive school education

• Positive and proactive attitude toward changes in the working environment

• Excellent time keeping

• Able to work within a team and able to motivate others

• Previous experience using a transport/warehouse management system would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided
