Job Title: Warehouse Packing & Stock Consolidation Operative
Location: Dorking, Surrey (RH5)
Hours: Flexible, Monday to Friday, between 9:00am - 5:30pm
Work Type: Flexible. The successful candidate can work any weekday/s between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm, with working days and hours agreed to suit both the candidate and the business.
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
HRGO Recruitment are currently seeking a reliable and organised Warehouse Packing & Stock Consolidation Operative to support our client with a short-term warehouse project based in Dorking, Surrey.
This role involves locating stock, checking product barcodes, packing customer orders ready for DHL collection, and consolidating warehouse stock. The ideal candidate will be comfortable carrying out manual handling duties, have good attention to detail, and be confident working independently within a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate the required products across three warehouse storage units.
- Check product barcodes by scanning or manually reading the PE bag labels to ensure they match the shipping list.
- Identify and use full sealed cartons where possible without opening them.
- Pick products from multiple cartons to create complete shipment cartons where required.
- Prepare mixed cartons and accurately record the ASIN numbers and quantities on a packing list.
- Attach packing lists securely to cartons using clear tape.
- Clearly label every carton with sequential carton numbers (CTN 1, CTN 2, etc.).
- Update the packing paperwork or Google Sheet with carton numbers and product quantities.
- Seal cartons securely, ensuring all joints are taped correctly for transport.
- Stack completed cartons ready for DHL collection.
- Consolidate remaining stock into two storage units, leaving the warehouse clean, organised and ready for future use.
- Use warehouse equipment, including trolleys, to move stock safely where required.
- Follow all warehouse procedures and maintain a safe working environment throughout the project.
Skills and Attributes
- Previous warehouse, packing or stock control experience preferred.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable checking product barcodes and completing basic paperwork.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling throughout the day.
- Organised with good time management skills.
- Reliable and dependable.
- Basic IT skills to update a Google Sheet would be advantageous.
- Able to follow instructions and work methodically.

Additional Information
- Working hours are flexible between 9:00am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

- A warehouse trolley is available to assist with moving stock.
- Packing materials and cartons are provided on site.
- Due to limited lighting inside the storage units, a torch or head torch is recommended.
- The project must be completed before September, offering flexibility around working days.
