We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Assistant to join a busy, fast-paced operation in Canterbury. This is a temporary opportunity offering weekday hours and a competitive hourly rate.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately pick and pack orders to meet dispatch deadlines
Prepare goods for shipment, including labelling and required documentation
Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently
Organise incoming stock and store items in the correct locations
Carry out regular stock checks and support inventory management
Replenish picking areas to maintain workflow efficiency
Use basic warehouse systems or handheld scanners where required
Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues
Ensure all items are packaged to the required quality standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Follow all health & safety procedures and manual handling guidelines
Support wider warehouse operations and assist team members as needed
Work to daily productivity targets in a fast-moving environment
Requirements
Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good physical fitness due to manual handling duties
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
A positive, proactive team player
