You will be working for the UK's leading provider of integrated management and maintenance services for parks and green spaces. The Company has merged with the largest French landscaping business and together.

The services they provide include landscape design and construction, park management and consultancy, grounds maintenance, tree surgery and external cleansing.

Job Responsibilities

• Experience of working on multi sites, high profiles housing contracts would be desirable but not essential
• The ability to read and understand site maps/plans and be able to navigate around Somerset and surrounding area
• Confident in organising daily works schedules and complete required daily check sheets for both sites and vehicles
• A full driving license is essential with a desired trailer towing capability
• You will ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures
• The successful candidate should be approachable, responsible, and able to communicate at all levels
• (Preferred but not essential) - Hold a PA1 & PA6 qualification for weed spraying
• (Preferred but not essential) - Experienced in the use of ride on mowers and horticultural machinery

Role Responsibilities

• To be the first point of contact for Cemetery users and clients in person. To provide a high quality, welcoming and personable service, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to deliver customer satisfaction.
• To organise and undertake effectively and efficiently, appropriate levels of service delivery.
• General maintenance and horticultural landscaping duties, including the interpretation of plans and drawings.
• To ensure that all grave digging and or grounds maintenance work meets appropriate standards, as direct by the supervising office, particularly, health and safety consideration as they apply to grave digging.
• To ensure appropriate consideration is given to the beliefs of the funeral cortège, and the funeral party.
• To maintain essential equipment and Depot areas in a proper condition
• To work effectively as a member of a team.
• To provide a grave digging service, including the safe excavation and shoring of graves as dictated by ground conditions.
• To ensure that all graves are suitable in dimensions to receive the casket or coffin prescribed.
