UK Commodity Purchasing Manager

Candidates should be CIPS qualified and possess strong people management skills for this role.

You will have experience of managing suppliers to achieve goals in Quality, Cost and Capacity, being able to lead a multi-talented team across multi sites.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years experience within an automotive / engineering environment.

Duties include:-

  • To lead a team of Commodity Buyers for two sites, both Direct and Indirect
  • To deliver and execute plans for year on year performance
  • To develop the supplier base to meet the Plant and Global Strategy
  • To participate in all supplier quality, cost initiative and project launch issues
  • To visit International suppliers
  • To manage the personnel requirements of the purchasing team, ensuring that you meet the requirements for individual welfare, training needs and job performance.
  • To have a strong understanding of Technical Drawings and Specifications.
