Job Title: Trainee Embroidery Machinist
Location: Hastings
Pay Rate: £13 per hour (£17 per hour on Sundays)
Job Type: Full-time | Temp to Perm

Shift Patterns Available:

  • Monday to Friday: 6:00am - 2:30pm

OR

  • Monday to Thursday: 14:15 - 22:45
  • Sunday: 14:15 - 22:45

HRGO Recruitment are working with a well-established clothing and equipment manufacturing company who are looking to recruit a Junior Embroidery Machine Operator to join their embroidery department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a creative background who is looking to start or develop a career within the fashion or textile industry.

Full training will be provided, making this role ideal for candidates with a fashion, textile, art, or design qualification, or those with experience using domestic or industrial sewing machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learning to operate embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered products
  • Assisting with setting up machines using embroidery designs and specifications
  • Monitoring machines during production and reporting any issues
  • Selecting correct thread colours and ensuring accurate design placement
  • Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Supporting routine machine maintenance and general upkeep
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines

Skills & Experience:

  • A creative background (fashion, textiles, art, design or similar)
  • OR experience using sewing machines (domestic or industrial)
  • Strong attention to detail and an interest in quality craftsmanship
  • Willingness to learn new skills and techniques
  • Good communication skills and a positive team-working attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
