Hours: Week 1: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:45, Friday off
Week 2: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:45, Friday 08:00 - 16:30


Job Summary:


Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Test & Repair Technician to join their Production team.

To inspect and test products following manufacture and fault diagnose and to repair products to the specific product standard and Customer requirements including but not limited to Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) test function.

This role will ensure that all products are fit for purpose and aligned with the company's quality standards, any deviation will be reported and quarantined according to non-conformance procedure. Complete written reports, non-conformance reports and Customer returns databases in a timely manner. Also, work within other areas of the business as required and authorised by the Team Leader.

Due to the nature of the work all candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance to SC level.


Responsibilities:


- Conduct thorough testing and inspection of new and customer returned products to ensure they meet the required specifications.
- Report non-conformance using the product control data base, email, NCR or MRB procedures.
- Test product using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and the ESS equipment & relevant procedures
- Diagnose and repair defects within printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
- Complete and file all related documentation, including test reports, repair logs, and inspection records, in a timely manner.
- Report all deviation to the Engineering team for correction.
- Continually review and update test documentation and product work instructions.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings to ensure accurate testing and repair processes.
- Capable of identifying acceptable build quality according to FFF methodology.
- Proficient in using MS Word and Excel programs for documentation and data analysis.


Requirements:


- Standard educational level requirements to include English, Maths and Science.

- HND or BSc Electronics (or similar)

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of test and repair procedures.

- Ability to us electronic equipment such as multimeters, oscillopscopes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Familiarity with product control databases and NCR/MRB procedures.
- Proficiency in using electronic equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
