• Pay Rate: £11.59 - £12.18 per hour.
• Hours of work: Varied hours between 8.00am- 19.00pm - 35 hours a week

HRGO Recruitment are seeking a reliable and School Handyman to join our client based in a School.

The School Handyman will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our school facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of school facilities to identify maintenance needs and repair issues
• Repair or replace faulty equipment, fixtures, and furniture
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and faculty
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and storage rooms
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of school events and activities
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed

Requirements:

• Must have an Enhanced DBS Certificate
• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks
• Familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance work
