The Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the effective operations of the service and rentals division by ensuring that equipment is properly tested, maintained, and functional. The role involves a variety of responsibilities related to inventory management, equipment preparation, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a clean and organised shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Preparation and Maintenance: Preparing equipment for field services, ensuring it is clean and in good working order, and maintaining detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
Inventory Management: Tracking equipment status, managing shipping and receiving, and updating asset tracking systems.
Tool Repair Coordination: Collaborating with third-party vendors for tool repairs and maintaining records of all tools and equipment.
Organisation and Cleanliness: Ensuring the shop is organised and presentable, while also conducting regular maintenance of vehicles and shop equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong mechanical background.
Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Experience in tool repairs, shipping and receiving, and inventory management is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Must have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Some travel may be expected on a time-to-time basis, along with overnight stays.
