Team Leader - Food Production

Location: Margate, Kent

Shifts: Monday to Wednesday 20:00 - 06:00, Thursdays 20:00 - 05:30

Pay £12.21 plus £8 for every completed shift.

Type: Temp to Perm.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join a well-established and expanding Food Production team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising the allocated staff in the production or packing area as directed by the Shift Leader/Production Manager. In the absence of the Shift Leader, you will be expected to manage the Shift Operation effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise allocated staff in the production or packing area according to instructions from the Shift Leader/Production Manager

- Manage the Shift Operation in the absence of the Shift Leader

- Ensure correct weighing down of ingredients, following recipes, and implementing batch coding from goods in to goods out

- Maintain correct temperature control of flour, yeast, and all ingredients

- Ensure traceability by following relevant procedures and completing documentation

- Adhere to hygiene requirements and staff health and safety regulations

- Ensure that the printer, labelling, packaging machines, and metal detector are set up and operating correctly in the Packing Department

- Follow Company Health and Safety guidelines and report any concerns to the Shift Leader or H&S representative

- Previous experience working in the food production industry is preferred

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a supervisory role in food production

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Knowledge of batch coding, check weighing, and documentation processes

- Understanding of hygiene requirements and health and safety regulations

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
