Job Role: Teaching Assistant

Location: Canterbury, Kent

HRGO Education Kent is in search of an experienced Teaching Assistant that can inspire SEMH students.

HRGO Kent is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant based in Canterbury, Kent. They are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting an SEN secondary school with children who have SEMH needing support 1-1 and in group work. This role is a permanent position starting in September Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30

The Learning Support role:

• Supporting teachers with their learning objectives and classroom management.
• Working 1:1 and with small groups of pupils in the classroom.
• Being a positive role model and establishing positive relationships with pupils and helping to develop their social skills.
• Working well with other members of school staff to provide a stimulating learning environment.

What you will need:

• Previous TA or LSA experience
• Have worked with children with SEN OR SEMH.
• A desire to learn new teaching strategies and skills to best support students.
• Be able to comfortably work 1:1 and with small groups of
• Organised, reliable, friendly, hard-working, and resilient with a good sense of humour.
• Enhanced DBS or one in progress (we can organise this for you)
