Job Role - Complex Needs teaching Assistant
HRGO Education are looking for Complex needs Teaching Assistant to work with children aged 4 - 16. This role will see you working in a specialist provision with the goal of helping these young students with complex social, emotional & behaviour needs receive the best standard of education possible.
As teaching assistant you'll work on a group or one-to-one basis with students. This job typically involves supporting students who struggle with behaviour management, or complex special needs. Typically, these students in this setting can be physically and verbally abusive.
However, the goal of this setting is to re-introduce these students into mainstream settings so you are part of making a real change to a student's life - which can be extremely rewarding.
Your job role will include:
It may be an advantage to have professional qualifications or training in areas such as health, psychology, education, guidance, or youth or social work.
You will need to demonstrate a good standard of general education, and you will need Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
