I am looking for a stores person who is able to 'push' the clients suppliers and sometimes not take no (or an extended delivery date) for an answer!
This is a permanent role in Taunton paying between £22k- £25k with performance based bonus introduced after year 1.
Previous experience in the PCV/Coach industry would be beneficial but not essential, preferably with over 3 years' experience in PCV/HGV engineering or stores management, but all candidates with significant and relevant experience will be considered.

Applicants need to be able to communicate clearly and confidently, and have good organisational and computer skills.
You will be required to work Mon-Friday, 8 hours/day, 08:00-17:00 with an hours lunch break.

Efficient stores management is important in keeping costs down and ensuring our vehicles are kept on the road working whilst being maintained to the highest standard.
Duties will include:
Organising the stores in an efficient and clear manner
Monitoring stock levels
Managing goods in/out
Searching for cost effective solutions
Liaising with the workshop manager to prepare parts for upcoming maintenance
Liaising with engineers and using your own experience to identify and order parts
Use purchase order and job card systems to help work with accounts in creating accurate invoices
Work using a stores module tied to our vehicle maintenance system, to efficiently achieve the above
