Experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) needed for an SEMH school in Skelmersdale

Are you looking for an exciting new role working with young people in Skelmersdale, Lancashire?

If so, an innovative SEND school located in the vibrant borough of Skelmersdale is looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their dynamic team. The school has a supportive team, engaging curriculum, and excellent facilities.

The position is One to One support, but you may be expected to work in small groups or providing general support in other classes across the school as required. There is excellent potential for progression in this school, with many staff being taken onto permanent contracts after a short period of supply work.

This role will involve supporting a pupil in Key Stage 3 so experience supporting children in secondary is essential, as well as supporting SEMH.

The role will be based in the classroom supporting the teacher and the pupil but there may be some individual or small group activities planned for. Building positive relationships with all staff, pupils and parents will be pivotal to this position.

The school will particularly want to hear from individuals from a sports background as the pupils can access many sports activities during the afternoons.
