Overview:

The Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that optimise the manufacturing processes. The Software Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineers, quality control professionals, and the wider IT team to ensure seamless integration and effective utilisation of software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse business requirements for software development projects in the manufacturing domain.
• Design, develop, and implement software solutions that improve manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using industry best practices.
• Test and debug software applications to ensure they meet functional requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with IT personnel to integrate software systems with existing infrastructure and databases.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users to ensure smooth operation of software applications.
• Conduct regular code reviews and participate in team meetings to share knowledge and best practices.
• Document software designs, technical specifications, and user manuals for future reference.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Software Developer, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Familiarity with software development frameworks and tools, such as .NET or Git.
• Experience with database management systems, such as SQL Server or Oracle.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
