SETTER OPERATOR FOR METAL FABRICATION MACHINERY

8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am - 1pm on Fridays

£8.72 per hour (Potentially higher if experienced)

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a busy small company based in the heart of rural Somerset

The successful applicant would be working with a variety of industrial equipment fabricating stainless steel tubular, wire and sheet metal components

Products are manufactured to a high quality and accuracy and to set time targets. The applicant will be required to both set and operate machines.

Equipment used will include:

• Auto-Saw
• Guillotine
• Brake Press
• Tube Bending machinery.

Experience of operating NC controlled equipment would be advantageous, but programming is not essential.

The role will require some supervisory experience overseeing work produced from equipment that the applicant would have setup for other personnel to operate.

Maintenance of tools and equipment will be required according to company practice.

Further work involving wire, power presses and assembly will also be necessary as the level of work dictates. Dependent on experience Power Presses can be incorporated into the Setter's role.

Applicants with a Mechanical Engineering background will have a distinct advantage however necessary training will be given to the successful candidate with the right aptitude.
